Dear Diary

Today, Kim came over to clean. She hasn’t been here for nearly two months. Keith visited Les and Eileen and picked up grinding wheels for my Dremel to remove rivets from the elevators while Kim was here from 10-12. We had a good catch-up. When he got back, we went grocery shopping at Farm Boy on Princess Street, which was fun. We know the store and the staff well. Parking is suitable for a Wheelchair van—good fresh baked bread. We like the bacon and the stakes too.

January 1 Today is a Holiday

January 1, 2024 I found out is a holiday because I went shopping only to find everything is closed. This is typical of how I live. It is typical because I do not practice looking out at society and it’s functions. This leaves me a bit poor in the sense that I will miss out on family time and shopping time. It creates a reversal. I find myself ready to shop when the shops are closed. Likely because I do not have a job or schedule that would bring me this information. It’s a planning ahead issue as fare as I can see. I would also add that in my defence my disability has amplified this problem which I will now solve here.
